Best Chinese cuisine in town I have come to believe that Fortune Wok is the best Chinese restaurant in KC. The food is always fresh and has unique flavors, the portions are impressive and the waitstaff is friendly. I recently ordered the Bento Box lunch for the first time and was amazed at the amount of food that was included, it's probably enough for 2 people to share.

Delicious Restaurant! Although a little on the pricey side, I drove 25 minutes from my house to this restaurant because it is so good. The food is always excellent (Asian cuisine and sushi) and the ambiance is very classy and calming. It's definitely a great place for families, too, and has a children's menu. I have recently moved four hours away and, unfortunately, have not yet been able to find anything that compares to Fortune Wok.

Great restaurant, great ambiance, friendly staff. food is always 5/5... I have been eating here for around 8 years. I have Gluten allergies and this is my goto Chinese restaurant. Out of the 8 years I've been coming here on a weekly basis I have been exposed to gluten only 1 time... Only reason why I rate a 4/5.

best Asian cuisine in KC!! – There's 2 locations I know of in Overland Park. And I don't notice a difference in either. They're both absolutely awesome! The one on 143rd does offer a sushi bar, that I don't believe the one on 135th does. From what I've heard (not being a big sushi eater) their sushi is just ok, but everything else they have is really, really good. Their food tastes very fresh. Not a place for Sushi – My husband and I love sushi and eat it frequently. This is definetly not the place to go if you are looking for good sushi. It is extremely overpriced. We have not tried the other food but the sushi is not worth it.

Fortune Wok knows Chinese Food – When one asks me my opinion on chinese cuisine, Fortune Wok is immediately on the top of my mind. The food is exquisite; I recommend lunch for the excellent deals, (Try the Bento Box; CA roll and Sesame Chicken, it is superb) but for dinner sesame chicken cannot be beat. I have a first generation chinese friend who agrees that Fortune Woks authenticity rivals many of the "classic chinese" restaraunts in the KC/Metro area. Excellent service, great food, and a dreamlike ambience. Try it today.
