STAY AWAY FROM FORTRESS I can't explain how disappointed I am with Fortress Security. I joined Fortress in June 2010 because it was the security system that the previous owner of my home had. Two months later, there was a false alarm when I was away. The technician came out and claimed that one of the windows were old and not being shut probably. The system was a piece of junk because one sensor was super sensitive that it would alarm even it was shut, another window had to be opened to 2 inches wide in order for the alarm t... read more
Would highly recommend! I had my Fortress security system installed in January 2011. All of my windows and doors are hard wired plus I have a motion detector in the main living area of my condo. The hard wiring means that holes are drilled through your windows and they run wires through the holes and back to the panel(via the attic). Needless to say I was completely hesitant to have my new windows drilled through. However, the holes are tiny and they are capped off nicely with a very small little sensor and magnet.
