Fortis West is without a doubt my all time favourite gym. A massive variety of strength training equipment, dedicated platforms (dl & oly), super functional layout and a kind, supportive community of regulars. The owner, Jeremy, has always been kind, responsive and generous with some sage lifting advice. This gym is clearly a labor of love and it shows.

I really enjoyed my time at Fortis. What stands out most is the friendly, tight-knit environment — it feels like a real community rather than just a place to work out. The members are supportive and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly, helpful, and encouraging. For anyone interested in powerlifting, Fortis has an extensive selection of specialty equipment. I’m genuinely sad to be leaving and would definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking for a place to train!
