May 20, 2015 --Today I called this company to replace the torsion spring. The technician arrived, and yes, they were prompt but at a hefty price of $285! The tech changed the spring in less than an hour while trying to convince me to add another spring. When he finished installing the spring, he tested the door; it would not open or close. He then stated that I had an off-brand garage door opener and that he would charge me an additional $50 to make garage door opener adjustment. NO NO NO...They came out to my house to fix a lift cable. Not only did they not fix it but they said I needed to replace both rails. They only replaced 1 rail and bent the other one badly. The job took the tech 5 hours and he still didn't complete it. He charged me $200 for work already done. When I called the company the next day to see when they would finish they told me that they would call me back. Of course they didn't. When I tried to call them back they had blocked my number. We have 10 row houses in our complex. They were built 11 years ago. Each has a two-car garage with rollup door. The doors have torsion springs to balance the weight of the door. Over the past few months, several of the torsion springs broke on my neighbors' doors. Their useful life of about 10,000 up/down cycles was over. The tension spring on our garage door needed replacing, and in a hurry as we were headed out of town. I called f.worth texas garage door and Frad assisted us right away with an appointment the next day. They showed up on time, completed the job quickly, and the total cost was exactly what I was quoted - no surprises.
