The FWACB is great example of what a community band should be. They are a very inclusive group that accepts members of any experence. The group has many free shows in the summer to bring the community out and have a good time as well as some paid show during the colder months. The band also volunteers their time to preform at the local colleges graduations. As a community band they do not allow everyone in claiming there are “limits” in sections. If this truly is the case and they are going to be that exclusive, there should be blind auditions for the entire community and not base members on seniority. There are not many band opportunities in Fort Wayne to play in and it’s disappointing that a volunteer organization is so exclusive. I've been to several concerts and all have been well worth it! Tickets are cheap and you can tell the musicians are having fun. I went to a space-themed concert and most members were in costume. Highly recommend going to see them!
Well performed symphony and modern pieces. Christmas Shows are always good.
