We stayed at Fort Place B&B from 5 - 12 Oct 2025 while visiting NYC. As a family of four, we had the entire top floor which includes 3 bedrooms (one with kitchenette and another with en-suite bathroom). Kitchenette equipment is basic, but sufficient to make coffee in the morning and store some items in the fridge. The house is wonderful and is strategically located. It wears its years with great charm and Paul's paintings on the walls make it even more precious. Paul is kind and thoughtful.

Ich war im November für 9 Tage bei Paul und habe mich mit Absicht für Staten Island entschieden denn in der Innenstadt wollte ich nicht übernachten. Klar, Staten Island ist ein bisschen außerhalb aber hat eine super Anbindung an Manhattan durch die Fähre die sehr oft fährt und fussläufig in 10 Minuten zu erreichen ist. Mein Zimmer war eher wie eine kleine Wohnung und riesig. Es war alles da was man braucht. Es war alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Gegenüber ist ein kleiner Deli wo man alles bekommt was man braucht. Rustic, but clean and comfortable. It was as expected. The host was very friendly, the location is quiet and only a 10 min walk away from the Staten Island ferry to Manhattan.
