I came here from Pastew Detox because my counselors recommended it, but my experience at Fort McMurray Recovery Centre (FMRC) was a major letdown. If you are looking for a place that feels like a real "healing" home, this isn't it. The facility itself is a former juvenile institution, and you can really feel it. It is decades behind the times and has a very cold, "institutional" feel that makes it hard to focus on healing. Great Experience! Great program, the staff are really into making the experience a memorable one
This facility did wonders for me the staff was amazing from the councillors to the front desk staff cooks and cleaners everyone was welcoming and helpful. At the same time if your not ready to get the chip off your shoulders it won’t work so if u go in with a open mind and take in all the knowledge they are there to give u it will become clear and subconscious what has to be done.
