I like FLL as it is well located and much smaller than MIA. Services are well placed and the shuttle service to the rental car facility is efficient.
Security was faster than Newark Airport. They have a shuttle that takes you to the Rental Car Center.
The worst! Horrible distances to walk between gates, no charging stations, horrible food options. A true train wreck and reason why West Palm, Miami, or any other option would be preferred. Avoid at all costs.

Airport is dirty and unorganized. Many of the flights are delayed and changing gates constantly. Don’t fly to Fort Lauderdale! Go to Miami if you a better experience!!!
