Great Place I have lived her my whole life, and still enjoy going out here and seeing the special new things they have added. They have the coolest train display! Kids love going here also
Interesting Items When we moved to North Platte, it was suggested that we stop by here to check it out. We are glad that we did. If you are traveling through NE and need a place to stretch your legs, this is the place. It has a great selection of items that are native to NE. There's lots of things for the kids to look at, play with, and learn. My daughter loves the wood carving display in the back that plays music and moves. It's quite impressive. You can also go into the fort in the back of the building which is impressive ... read more
GREAT family fun! Fort Cody has been a favorite place of mine since I was a little girl. It is a fun and magical place, that children and adults alike enjoy. It is a great way to see some of Nebraska's history come alive through their scale model of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show (which actually moves!), many displays, outside fort area (great for picture taking), and whole atmosphere. We enjoy spending time here, and follow it up by purchasing gift items in their gift store.
Tourist stop Fort Cody Trading Post is located along the interstate highway and an easy stop as you travel through Nebraska. It is a typical "tourist trap" - a shop filled with things to buy. However, there are some interesting and unusual displays that make for good photo opportunities. There is a large animated miniature model of the Buffalo Bill traveling show. I enjoyed browsing through the food and craft items made by local artisans.
Fort Cody Trading Post has a 4.6 star rating with 1,616 reviews.
Fort Cody Trading Post is closed now. It will open at 9:00 a.m.
