Tammy at Forrest Septic was tremendously helpful when I contacted her to request a point of sell inspection. After realizing the septic installer never closed out the permits over 10 years ago, she selflessly guided me through the process to get in compliance. She communicated with me and another septic company that manages my septic system maintenance and annual inspections. I just had a failure of what they installed after only 5 years. The situation: they spliced the appliance wire from the pump directly into a sub breaker box and connected the wire nuts to the incoming romex loosely. No protection from sewer gasses was provided. The result was that I came outside to a non working pump, melted wires, and melted wire nuts! I replaced this setup with a proper code-compliant GFCI outlet, got a new pump and installed myself.
