This place was amazing. My girlfriend and I stayed a few nights on our vacation and it was very serene. We stayed in the 1 bedroom cabin with the hot tub which was great. We thoroughly enjoyed the porch swing too. Each day after we had our free breakfast we walked trails and we played games like basketball and football. We stayed at cabin 7 for our 2 year wedding anniversary. The cabin was very clean and I thought it was so cute. Having the hot tub inside of the room was great! There are other cabins nearby, but you cannot see them from the porch or windows due to the area being surrounded by trees. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday so it was very quite. Pretty good price for a romantic getaway!
Our weekend was very pleasant and relaxing. The staff at Forrest Hills was friendly and accommodating, and our cabin was well appointed . Dinner in the couples dining room was delicious. We recommend the Coffee Rubbed Pork Chop, and the Ribeye. The Fried Cheesecake was also excellent. Horseback riding was fun, and both the horses and wranglers were topnotch. The facilities are somewhat dated, and could use a facelift, but hey, so could I.
Such a beautiful resort! Our room was lovely and the view...so peaceful and so relaxing. I didn't have a long stay. However, I will remedy that very soon with an extending stay to explore all that the resort has to offer. It has the perfect blend of rustic and luxury, without sacrificing technology. I highly recommend anyone considering staying here to do so expeditiously! You won't regret it!
