We used Nordic Auction for my Dad's place. They brought a trailer full of someone else's stuff and spread it all over the front lawn. They ran out of time setting out my Dad's stuff from the house, shed and barn That's just WRONG! Also didn't clean up the other person's stuff after until 6 days after the auction when my brother had to call them. We were NOT IMPRESSED!
This experience was a nightmare! Sellers beware. You are made many promises regarding your items but the customer service is non existent. You are not given a detailed list regarding even the large items and the prices they were sold for as promised. It takes months of inquiries to receive compensation. I received much less than expected for a garage full of tools, antiques, etc. When I asked for an accounting of 3 large items I had been offered considerable amounts for if I sold to antique dealers (which Forrest advised me ... read more
I've been to other auctions and this one was FUN. I had no issues. I bought stuff I wouldn't even have considered if I wasn't having such a good time. I highly recommend going to their auctions.
We always attend Nordic auctions whenever we can! Forrest is a great auctioneer, knows his stuff and knows how to make things sell. Him and his staff get to know their regulars and what they like to buy. Always a fun experienced!
Nordic Auction has always been a stand up event and service. Of all the auctions in town, Forrest's are the ones I make a point of attending when I can. I've noticed negative reviews that I think are unjustified, these folks seem to not realize what an auction is and how it will usually not get them top dollar. If they want top dollar they should expect to spend months selling stuff themselves and doing all the required work. Where do I begin? Our experience with these people was nothing short of a nightmare! My elderly mother was putting her home on the market because she was moving out of town and we hired Nordic to do her auction. They came to her home the end of May and picked up the items but did not have room for an antique hay rake. They said they would come back and get it. Days passed and they did not come. Nordic auction is a great event to attend! Love buying cool items on impulse, have had numerous positive experiences selling, enjoy the humor Forrest uses and just love the whole down -to- earth crew over there! Enough said!
