I was referred to this surgery by my doctor, and I’m so grateful for the experience throughout my explant journey. Dr Zaman was fantastic—everything was explained thoroughly, including expectations and recovery, which made me feel completely at ease. Broke the 5th metacarpal, placed in a brace and sent to OT, saw Dr at approx 8 weeks and was cleared. I complained of continual pain extending into my fingers. I was told therapy would correct it. There was no final x ray to confirm the break had healed or that it had healed correctly. Close to 5 months on and I am now needing surgery to address the non union of my break and I also require tendon release.( with a different surgeon. ) I am all for conservative treatment but as this break has a tendency not to heal, I believe ... read more
