I have been a customer at this hotel for over 20 years, and this year has by far been my most disappointing experience. Firstly, upon getting our room number, through a text, we found out that we were in a room that we did not want. Each year we have requested to have a room on floor 8 or above, and to have it closer to the elevator. While I know that not all requests can be accommodated, especially during a busy weekend, it would at least be courteous to let us know ahead of time. There is no one at the facility to assist you. You have to call Carolina dreaming who may or may not answer the phone. One issue we had was our key code didn’t work. Luckily it was before 9 pm because after there would have been no assistance. We asked for a maintenance person to come check our balcony door because it would not open. We arrived back to our room to find someone had fumigated with our stuff in the room. It was so strong. Stayed in 604. They did a fantastic job keeping the room clean. The staff downstairs did a great job keeping the halls clean. The full kitchen was beautiful. The rooms were beautiful and the living room. Will be returning next year that you room 604 friends.
