Broke a piece on my car doing recall work and tried to pass the buck, fortunately the car had just had a video inspection the day before with proof saying otherwise. I didn’t trust them so I took it back to the inspection place after they finished and sure enough they fixed it but not without doing (what I can only assume intentional) damage to some of my lug nuts at least one on each side.
