Apparently they only have 1 dental hygienist and 1 dentist working today. Which meant that we waited in the chair for 40 minutes before the dentist came to check my daughters teeth. The dental hygienist was kind and patient with my daughter but the wait time for the last few visits seems unnecessary. It was just a routine cleaning/checkup. They cleaned her teeth for 10 minutes and we waited for 40 just for the dentist to check her teeth. The best pediatric dentist in the entire state! He doesn't take advantage of parents and doesn't try to put in crowns when they're not needed! Thank you, Dr. Shinn! He's spot on. I'll tell my entire Russian-speaking community about him. We've been searching for a good dentist for so long, and we've finally found him.
Used to be a 5/5 dentist but now every appointment I arrive to is 45 minutes to an hour PAST the scheduled appointment time. Still provides great dentistry... If you can sit in the waiting room long enough. Today's appointment was 35 minutes PAST the appointment time. Update 12/2025 Daughter has an appointment today and it is 60 minutes PAST her scheduled appointment time. We have now gotten the kids set up with a different dentist in Gig Harbor. Such a shame.
Dr. Shinn is a wonderful dentist, he is very kind with children and took time to answer all our questions with a very empathetic and knowledgeable approach. Highly recommend
This place is wonderful! Dr. Shinn is so kind and gentle with my daughter who has bad anxiety about the dentist. Dr.Herrera is awesome also. The staff is incredible. I would give 10 stars if it was an option!
