Amazing veterinarian. Very personable and he went above and beyond, including checking up on my pet the night after her surgery

I like it here as Dr. Ryan is straightforward and doesn't make you spend money for unnecessary treatments. The clinic loses a star as they need another front end staff.
Finally! A vet who doesn't make caring for your pet mean having to take out a second mortgage. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Foothills has been a staple clinic in southern Alberta for decades. And after finding it, many years ago, those in my family still prefer to make the drive from wherever we are, to Dr Merkley. He is smart and talented with big and small, and even in emergencies (and there have been several) he steps right up to help and knows what needs to be done and how.
