The strength of the Foothills is that it offers lots of variety. – In Short The dynamic duo of Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish teamed up to build the Foothills in 1986. The course is a classic desert layout, with lots of transition areas and forced carries off the tee. The fairways are generous and rolling, and the greens slightly elevated and sloped, with at least one of two tiers on each of them. There's nothing like variety, with the 15th through 18th holes being the best stretch.
