Shop there frequently. Always take advantage of sales and able to get fresh fruit at tremendous prices as well as meats when on sale.
You mentioned a "sale on meat" didn't see much that was marked down, just seen a bunch of family packs of meat, still marked way more than what Costco charges, Costco is still by far the best place to shop for meat and produce. iga can't afford to drop prices so they raise prices on other items that sell, like chocolate, coffee, butter, cheese even milk, my advice to anyone going shopping, don't shop here, anywhere else but here is cheaper, this place is a rip off, expensive as hell.
Foodland IGA is the BEST! They have Great Prices on Groceries, the BEST and Freshest Produce in town equal only to Rainbow Foods! They sell Hardware Hunting and Fishing items Gardening and Boat! Foodland IGA also has the Freshest and Healthiest Hot and Cold Deli in town. They have a full service pharmacy liquor store and so much more. The "Sale" prices are more expensive than the regular prices at Fred Meyer. The lines are always very long, and there are always children at the door soliciting donations.
The seafood dept. is improperly handling seafood, they're selling old, smelly, bad seafood and they need to stop. There isn't enough volume of seafood sales so they're ending up selling old fish and shellfish that should have been thrown out. There is a simple solution; offer a smaller, fresher or at least fresh frozen and properly handled seafood selection that sells and stop trying to sell so much that IGA ends up with old seafood that should be thrown out.
