It's a great store in a small town. I love coming to Banner Elk for vacation. Everyone is so nice.
The customer is always wrong at Food Lion. With absolute contempt for their customers, Food Lion forces you to use self check out. No manned check out at all was open on a recent visit. Their insulting AI robot cameras accuse customers of theft if you hesitate, move in the wrong direction, or can't manage bagging a full grocery cart in the tiny space provided. Not so crowded awesome selection.
One of the friendliest and welcoming Food Lions we have ever been to. Very well stocked, clean and all of the produce looked great. We look forward to coming back soon.
