This is the Cajun spot in Winter Park. Hubby was craving some good ol’ southern food, specifically fried catfish. We started with an order of the fried okra. I ordered the fried cod fish sandwich and hubby ordered the fried catfish & coleslaw. Also ordered a cup of gumbo (tomato based) to sample. Everything was pretty authentic and yummy. The fried okra and the cajun fries were the star for me.
Good food. Service was slow. Only one waitress on duty, but she was proficient in her duties.
Excellent meals! We had chili scallops, bbq shrimp and cod, Cajun pasta, piccata pasta and bouillabaisse. Everyone loved their meals. Most entrees were $28-36. Delicious Caesar side salad and key lime pie. Service was amazing. Atmosphere festive. We highly recommend Fontenot’s!
Had the Parmesan crusted salmon pasta and the salmon was dry. Food wasn’t near what I expected for having to pay $200 for a family of 3.
