I realized that I never wrote my review from 2019, so here goes. Fonta Flora was one of the best stops on this trip and certainly worth the extra hour or so out of the way. Every single beer was solid. I liked the barrel aged lager that was on tap. I found that to be both enjoyable and unique. The service was stellar and the atmosphere laid back. My kind of place. I look forward to returning one day. Highly recommend!
We walked across the street from our hotel, around four o'clock in the afternoon, just before the happy hour crowd would come in. This place is charming and Kellen was great! She welcomed us in and let me chat her head off. My wife and I are from Morganton and had never been inside Fonta Flora. Lots of seating, both inside and out.
