Staff was great, and Dr. Follows was very professional. I got in quickly, and the fee is way more reasonable than the trip to Vancouver. Bedside manner was great and allowed my nerves to de-escalate from the fear of the procedure
Similar to others, received a referral to this clinic and they've informed me they're no longer accepting MSP. Two-tiered healthcare is antithetical to a physically and socially healthy society. Physicians who decide to opt out and push us toward a private pay model should be ashamed and shunned.
My procedure was relatively pain-free with a short recovery time and zero complications. I particularly liked how office staff and Dr Follows eased my anxiety prior to and during the operation with their calm nature and humour. While the vasectomy is unfortunately no longer covered by MSP, I feel the cost is reasonable given his 30+ years of experience.
Waited on a referral for months only to be told this clinic has opted out of taking MSP and now is fully private. It's deeply concerning that this clinic has opted out of MSP. This decision creates a significant barrier to healthcare access for many British Columbians. By choosing to operate outside of the publicly funded system, the clinic is prioritizing the rich, exacerbating existing inequities in healthcare access. Some important information you should know before booking: I received a referral to Dr. Follows from my GP and was told that my vasectomy would cost $850. I did some research and confirmed that the procedure was covered under MSP. Only after asking for clarification did the nurse let me know that Dr. Follows has opted out of MSP and is a private clinic.
