I went for my eye exam to Mr. David Folkers at 510 S Murphy Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94086. He gave me a prescription, offered to make my glasses with that prescription but I refused the offer. I then got my glasses done elsewhere with the prescription that was provided to me by David. The power did not feel right and I wrote to David asking to see me again to find out what was wrong. He refused to meet with, after my repeated asking, just chose to correspond with me via email and completely refusing to meet with me stating that "... read more
They gave me my first pair of glasses and called them "general" I guess meaning I could use them for reading or driving etc. When I received the glasses something was not right and it never got better. They did not improve my vision and they certainly didn't work for close & far. I felt very sick when trying to get used to them and when I complained to the doctor they kept dragging me along saying "just keep trying to get used to them". Extremely unprofessional throughout the entire appointment process. Dr David gave me a text with a completely different name and with extremely improper grammar which shows that this business has very low values and standards. Do not go here.
I am a loyal customer to Dr folkers for more than 20 years. I trust him with my eyes and I find that he always is very thorough, professional, and puts me at ease. It's been an interesting journey as his patient as I have grown older and my eyes continue to change and he really explains things well to me. He's a great doctor.
Avoid this place. The doctor is quite unprofessional. The doctor was more interested in making conversation and jokes than do the eye examination. Because of this, it took twice as long to do the exam compared to other optometrists I've been to. I was there for more than an hour. He also kept leaving the exam to deal with other patients. Very unprofessional. The doctor is a very poor sales man. After the eye exam you are taken to the back and the doctor tries to sell extremely over priced glasses.
