Folk Song Farm was everything we dreamed of in a wedding venue and more! We toured multiple venues between Fond du Lac and Milwaukee and are so happy we chose Folk Song Farm. Everything about our special day was perfect - Shelly and her team were professional, so organized and made the day flow seamlessly. I didn’t need a wedding coordinator because Shelly covered it! Our 300+ guests still rave about how beautiful the barn was to this day. And our photos were stunning. Our photographer loved the natural scenery and our photos turned out perfect!
The venue was beautiful, the outdoor ceremony space was picturesque. If you are having an event in cold weather (it was 44°last Saturday), the barn gets COLD and the electric heaters they had didnt even put a dent in getting it warm. They did have blankets available and most guests brought coats and/or blankets. Restrooms were a bathroom trailer which was clean and odor free but water to wash hands was cold. This venue is definitely more suited for warmer weather events.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to get married at Folk Song at the end of August. From the moment we stepped into the barn, we could feel the love and history woven into every part of the space—and it only got better from there. Shelly and her team were truly exceptional. My husband and I got married at Folksong Farm on 9/14/24. It’s hard to believe almost 1 year has passed since the best day of our lives (life sure flies after you get married). The moment my Fiancé (now Husband) and I walked into the Folksong Farm Barn and met Shelly (the owner), we looked at each other and smiled, knowing this was the one, without even touring other venues.
