I had a 4-year good experience with FMI. I was working as an image reconstruction scientist on computed tomography (CT), and had worked on numerous projects including CT physics and reconstruction. We developed many fascinating algorithms that made our image quality superior. The only downside might be that the compensation is not ideal, but in general my personal experience is positive, and it really turned me into a CT expert.

Company changed name to FMI Medical Systems since 2011. Pros: Making actual ct scanners Cons: Low pay, long hours, job insecure , poor management, colleague backstabbing, poor benefits, no vision plan, no 401k, no annual pay raise, no incentives.
