The new Flying Fish Restaurant of Old Town Alexandria presents it's concept: "Restaurant as Art" . The Flying Fish 's decorating occupied 18 months before its grand opening February of 2005. All of the dining surfaces and several murals in the restaurant were tastefully painted by local fine artists with impressions of Sea Life, and "Great Moments".

Servers were throwing ice cubes at each other while I tried to eat.
This place is awesome! They offer great seafood menu, and they have wonderful appetizers and staff. Everyone I encountered was kind and professional. The star is the sushi, they use the highest grade of seafood available in the area, and their Chef Melvin is very creative with his fusion sushi. The cash money roll took my taste buds on a roller-coaster ride!
The restaurant is just "okay"- sorta feels like you're dining on cheap outdoor patio furniture and I didn't think any of it was worth the price. BUT the bar downstairs is one of the better ones in old town!! It's like walking into a totally different place, with pretty comical karaoke and great drinks!
