Stayed at the Longliner while in Sika for a business conference. The rooms are very clean and the staff are some of the nicest folks you'd ever meet. Gotta give a shout out to Ferdinand, he was so friendly and helpful... he even got up early to give a couple of us a ride into town one morning when it was raining pretty heavy. It was late in the season so the restaurant was closed, but folks in town said the food is really good there. All-in-all the Longliner is a solid spot to stay while visiting Sitka!
Great place to stay. The rooms are spacious and the staff is gracious. Clean and comfortable. Town of Sitka is in walking distance. Great views of fisherman, boats and kayaks on back deck. There is a bar and restaurant that serves dinner.
Kevin, the manager, was very helpful and kind. The room was space and very comfortable and clean.| The restaurant was right there and it was open for breakfast and dinner. It closed at 9 am and it was very quiet and easy to sleep at night.| The shuttle to airport was right on time at 5 am and it was easy and convenient.
We misunderstood the photos, and thought all the rooms had a water view. They don’t :(. If that matters to you be sure and request that! We did not - our mistake, not theirs. That said it is right on the waterfront and offers fishing charters, has a restaurant, and is in the middle of the fishing industry area in Sitka. Peaceful place. Staff extremely helpful and very responsive to any needs. Walking distance to grocery shopping. Walking distance to “downtown”. Short drive to everything else. Parking can be iffy. Made for a great visit.
