Dined in several places while in the area. Floyds 1921 was next level in comparison. Super cool atmosphere and service was top notch.
This highly recommended place really lived up to its name! As yacht delivery crew, we are always looking for high quality food close to the marina (walkable). We decided to sit at the outside bar on a slow weekday night so we got true VIP service. The bartender Jimmy truly went above and beyond between cocktail + wine recommendations as well as food. The specials are the best thing at this restaurant! Some of the food is a bit over the top big! But why the food is a 4 out of 5 is their shrimp and grits is bacon fat.then oil from peppers, then oil from fried shrimp then cheese on grits for more fat in grits which should have butter.... Fat on fat on fat on fat... The flavors just clashed and did not meld at all. But why did I give it a 4. The appetizer were amazing the time we went before. And my wife had beef Wellington and it was amazing!!!! And the service was great!
Given the upscale appearance and pricing, I had high hopes. Boy was I disappointed, oof. They charged $45 for what you see in the photo. 5 pathetic oysters with more oil than batter and a filet of flounder that I'm not sure was flounder at all. The flavor of the oysters was acceptable with cocktail sauce, but the fish was chewy and mostly flavorless (I love flounder).
