We just ordered a Baptismal Cake for this past weekend that was not only the best cake that everyone had eaten, but was so beautifully decorated and eloquent!!! I sure wish you had a bakery closer to me!!!! I would order again in flash!!!! Loved it!!!
After reading the South Bend review, I had to step up and say that no, the cakes are NOT bought elsewhere! I know this because I used to work there for several years! After moving away from the St. Joe area, I have yet to find any other comparable bakery. I wont eat a cake unless it is from here. It's very moist and they have a great flavor for filling and frosting. We use them for all of our big events. Thank you for being so delicious!
I normally don't write reviews, but I had to after seeing someone from South Bend bashing this shop's eloquent cakes. I have lived in many different cities in the U.S. and I have to say that every time I am in SW Michigan I HAVE to purchase a cake from the Flour Shop. I had thought after all the hype that I'd pick up a cake and some goodies to take to the Marina. Well. ... Atfirst I had to argure then give up on my choice of filling and cake, as the said "that won't taste right" so I gave up and took waht they reccommended. Whne I stopeed to pic up my order I also bought a couple pies and a few other things. / The cake was HALF frozen.
