Been a patient of Florida Sleep Specialist for four year's. Had my first evaluation related to sleep apnea. Although was DX as moderator, been wearing the CPAP for the past years. Today was my annual review and have been consistently wearing the CPAP pillows every night. My incidents per hour are under 2 and I have been achieving 7 to 8 hours of restful sleep. The staff at the Sarasota office are efficient and knowledgeable. It’s not a chore to go there; the wait times are minimal and the medical practitioners and support staff are kind and helpful. I highly recommend them.
My functional doctor (Dr. Christopher Davis, Reveal Vitality) had me do a sleep study and it indicated I had medium sleep apnea so I went to Florida Sleep Specialists (Dr Jeremy McConnell) to have them go over my options. They did a great job of explaining sleep apnea and the options for "treating" it. I met with Karen who was extremely knowledgeable on the CPAP machines and the face mask options!!! Olivia, the scheduler/receptionist is the most competent person in the whole administrative medical field in Florida. Most medical facilities have people working that could care less about the patients, but she is excellent. The best I’ve ever dealt with in Florida. And most professional.
I want to send a shout out to the Office staff to include Olivia, Audrey and Terry for their professionalism and courtesy during my many appointments. I have used a CPAP for, but it was a long time ago and it wasn’t good for my face because I have claustrophobia the lady that helped me with a sleep study. Her name is Anne-Marie was so nice and made me feel comfortable I was fitted for a mask and saw that it was smaller, and that the CPAP companies have made a Great change to the machines and equipment.
