My understanding is that FL Scuba Charters is no longer in business. There was a fatality of a diver and two divers were left in the water during the COVID lockdown. Prayers for the friends and family of the deceased and glad 2 divers were rescued successfully by a passing boater.
I have dove with Florida Scuba Charters, Inc over 70 times the last two years! Dustin is an amazing captain. He is highly knowledgeable of the area, the weather, and runs a great business! The dive masters are phenomenal and always treat us like family! The drift dives are amazing! We are dropped on our site, given detailed directions, helpful tips, and the boat is backed right up to us when we surface.
I cannot appreciate being cursed out by Dustin in front of the whole boat... Just a hot headed jerk that only cares about a little money and not a returning customers feelings or safety. He does not respect people's views or opinions whatsoever. I do not recommend him to anyone anymore. This used to be a great environment but sadly it has fallen to absolute less than desirable. As the Emperor protects, so must we. Customer first. Dustin will sell you a trip card, only to tell you it expired. Will try and convince you to dive in weather conditions that are unfavorable, Demands money if you don't go. Actually said he needed to talk to his lawyer when informed a certified diver with physical disabilities before allowing said diver to book a dive (Wonder what the Americans with Disability Act would say here).
