We have been a Waste Connections customer for 3 years at our business, The Nest at Anderson Mill. After servicing our location without issue all this time, the company suddenly decided our property was “unsafe” for frontload service. I'm not sure how they have four stars... They are horrible to do business with. Not only do they not pick up trash as they are prepaid to do they also have a completely messed up bill payment process. I have been with this company for four years and have yet to see any improvement. I pay them every three months and every three months there is an issue of them processing the payment when I pay instead of when they feel like collecting the money. Sadly WFN took on this firm! They refused to invoice me to pick up my residential garbage. I had the money and wanted to pay them as this is the new company brought in with no alternatives to choose from. But...... because I would not give them a void cheque or my credit card number, they refused me service!!!!!! I pay $160 for water every 3 months and $4000 for property taxes to Westbank First Nations every year, (among other fees). I just paid $200 for admin fees to Lakeridge Park for God knows what? I had Progressive Waste a reasonable and good company until Waste Connections took over and it has been like dealing with the mafia. Not only the rates go up almost monthly despite the contract but if you don't pay what they want they hit you with late fees and collections. They are not trustworthy.

We have been a customer for over 10 years, and up until the last few months, we have had excellent service from Waste Connections (formally Progressive Waste); but they have become unreliable. The customer service folks are friendly and professional, so the problem must be with the driver, dispatch, and local management. I will be encouraging all of the customers along our route to switch to another company since they don't seem interested in servicing our account, although they have no problem taking our money each month. $... read more

Tons of inconsistency and service. Treat their customers second hand as if your business does not matter a five dollar credit is not going to pick my garbage up but I think this company fails to realize is the consumer actually depends and needs their services no one likes stinky garbage sticking around their house for longer than a week a lot of times people clean out the refrigerators clean out their freezers plan things around their garbage

All of my service has been on time. I pay a premium price for trash pick up and recycling. Upon review of a local trash service, I was quoted a price close to half what I am paying for Waste Connections. I called Waste Connections to find out the cancelling process. I was told they would price match their competitor. Even though the price is about half what they are charging me now. Our service was never consistent and trying to contact them by phone was a nightmare. I cancelled the service via their website but they did not acknowledge the cancellation and I received a bill for services never rendered. When I finally was able to talk to a representative, she told me that I had to cancel service via the phone and that although they never picked up after my original cancellation, I still had to pay. I advise everyone to stay very far away from this company.

Damaged our fence. We contacted them & they said they would be out the next day to repair it. Then I got a letter in the mail stating that they were not responsible. You can NEVER reach anyone there on the phone, emails & letters have gone unanswered. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I would advise everyone to stay away! They are horrible to deal with!!
