As a military veteran, I was referred to Florida Neurological Center by the VA for treatment, specifically for neck injections that had already been approved and authorized by the VA, with payment fully covered by the military. I have the worst luck with doctors and this one is no exception!!! I am so naive to think he was going to help me with the rare disease I have but instead treated me like a idiot. Ladies don't hand him your phone cause that's the giveaway that tells him you are stupid and will do all the tests that he wants done. I am so glad that I realized what a mistake it was to select this doctor. It makes me want to stop seeing any doctor!!! * LONG READER WARNING * Don’t trust this office and if you do decide to go , don’t upset Sunnie . I’m not exactly aware of her position in the office . But I was being charged for Doctors Notes , ( $50 per note ) . So I decided to find a Neurologist in Network . Sunnie ( An employee of Dr Kim ) contacted my pharmacy , asking all scripts be cancelled. Even though seizures are considered life threatening to a doctor , let alone a Neurologist. I will start with the positive: The office and nursing staff are great! Dr.Kim was kind enough to give me a discount on my mri when I was self pay. Now the negative: Dr.Kim has some of the worst bed side manner I've ever experienced. I went in with a complaint of numbness, tingling and nerve pain. He immediately wanted to put me on 3 meds for migraines, which was not my concern. I had to advocate for an mri and other test. During the other test, he had to poke a needle in my back. I have suffered from debilitating migraines for over 10 years now with no ease, I was having 5-6 migraines a month each lasting 3 days to a week. I tried every possible solution, but nothing worked. I saw Dr. Kim for the first time in 03/2025. I have never been happier, he discovered I had a brain/neck disorder called Chiari malformation.
