I’ve stayed here a couple times and the main draws are the location (although more about this below) and the building is charming and historical. The inn has a lot of potential. That said, the inn is right next door to the Green Turtle bar next door, which has (very loud) live music on Friday and Saturday (from 5 - midnight). The Green Turtle bar is one of the loudest properties in the Historic section of Fernandina Beach. So, it will be very loud on Friday and Saturday nights. Fantastic - if you want a more cozy and intimate setting with a touch of old world charm, this is your place - highly recommend

Very disappointing and uncomfortable stay at the Florida House Inn. First the good - great location, interesting history and chill backyard. But, comfort lacking with very shabby and dated rooms with beds sagging and noisy, lumpy and bumpy. Breakfast also very disappointing. Coffee cold, grits and eggs cold.

You can’t beat the location but as far as I could tell, there was no heating or air-conditioning. It is a very old building with very old plumbing and must be a challenge to maintain. I would not stay here again, despite the great location.
