I brought my 10-year-old son to Advent after having taken him to his primary and urgent care twice. I was told by his primary and the doctors at urgent care that he had a virus and that I needed to just wait it out. A mother knows when something is not right, so I took him to Advent ER and they ordered the appropriate testing and discovered that my son had pneumonia. Three other doctors missed this. My experience here was very mixed. The staff were kind, the ER was clean, and my pain was treated quickly. I truly appreciate how gentle and professional the nurses and techs were. At the time of discharge, my pain was manageable, and the team believed it was likely an ulcer. They did an EKG, labs, urine testing, and a CT scan. However, what concerns me is what happened next. I figured out what caused the lump on my leg. Advent ruled out blood clot. It was an allergic reaction to the supplement Moringa leaf. It has gone away.
