Worst staff experience I’ve ever had. I was in the middle of scheduling an appointment when the staff member suddenly put me on hold to “deal with another patient.” It was very obvious this happened only after they realized they did not take my insurance even though I clearly stated I would be paying cash. Completely unprofessional, dismissive, and disrespectful of my time. If this is how patients are treated before even being seen, I can’t imagine the level of care afterward. I would not recommend this office.
I have been going to Dr. Passaro for about 20 years now. I drive over 2 hours to see him and his staff. I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews. I think it may be lack of patience/empathy. This doctor and his staff work their tails off! Through my life with my epilepsy/brain surgeries, they have always accommodated me , never have been rude and have worked with me for the best! Dr. Passaro doesn't have the best interest for his patients. When I went to see him about my seizures, he told me to try a new medication. I asked him how do I stop drinking my current medication and he said stop as soon as I start the new one. That didn't sound right to me, since every Neurologist I have seen has always told me TO NEVER SIMPLY STOP DRINKING ANY EPILEPTIC MEDICATION. I looked up my current medication and it said DO NOT SIMPLY STOP DRINKING IT, BECAUSE DANGEROUS SIDE EFFECTS COULD OCCUR.
I am 81 and have had memory problems increasing gradually over the past several years. I made an appointment with Dr. Passaro five months ago to address this. It took all of this time to complete the multiple brain and cognitive tests he requested. I saw him a couple of times during this tests and each time (after one + hour wait) he would ask a few questions (most of which had been previously asked), no other conversation. I'm the caregiver for my wife who has LBD. There isn't anything about this journey that is easy for either of us but the staff helps in every way they can. Dr. Passaro is the best and yes, there are going to be times when you are stuck waiting well past your appointment time but know it is because everyone that walks into that office is given the time and care that they need on that day.
