I went to get hyperpigmentation treatment, I was very honest with the tech that I would be going on tropical vacation, I was advised to wear sunscreen ... which I did... when I got back from my vacation I had marks left on my back from the IPL.. This is a false statement from the patient. Without going into personal details about the patient, she had the treatment on May 15th. The patient signed a consent stating some possible short and long term side effects,- which include hyperpigmentation. The patient reported her concern about marks from the treatment on her back on May 29th. The patient was advised during consulting and before, during and after treatment to stay out of the sun.
