☆☆ This was my third time trying this restaurant. I keep coming back because it's quaint, has a great vibe, and a beautiful aesthetic. Unfortunately, the food has missed the mark every time. This visit was a quick lunch with a friend. We ordered the crab cake, which was very fishy and bland. The calamari was also disappointing—I think even a pinch of kosher salt would have helped. As someone who has lived in the Netherlands and spent time in Belgium, I can tell you this place has very little to do with real Belgian food. The menu had none of the classics you would expect, no waterzooi, no filet américain, no proper stoofvlees, no chicons au gratin. The beer list was embarrassingly short for a Belgian restaurant, no Trappists, no lambics, nothing special. The frites we saw coming out looked completely American style, soggy and thick.
