Horrible service.
This experience perfectly illustrates how modern utility billing has quietly evolved into a system of punitive extraction, especially for people living paycheck to paycheck. I was explicitly told that my utilities would remain on until Wednesday. Despite that assurance, service was shut off early. When I called to resolve it, I was told I must pay a $60 “reconnection fee” — even though no technician was dispatched and the service was restored remotely from an office. I just spoke to an individual in the Utilities department. Customer service is suppose to be SERVICE not a lecture on what should have been done. There is never an excuse for rudeness.
