A very authentic Chinese-style bakery! I really enjoy the sweetness of their cakes, and the prices are very reasonable. The beautiful lady at the front counter is as lovely as a Barbie doll, and she is always warm, friendly, and kind. Great cakes, great service, and a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
I’ve been to Floral Cake a few times before and noticed some changes recently. The prices have gone up but the new clear plastic cake boxes also seem quite a bit smaller than the ones they used before. So overall it does feel like you’re paying more while the packaging is getting smaller. The new boxes are also hard to open. I had to spend a while figuring it out and was worried I might damage the cake in the process. The plastic itself feels a bit flimsy too
Food is good. Not overly sweet, which I prefer. Cheesecake is not really cheesecake. Tastes more like gelatin. But the mango flavor comes thru very nicely. Blueberry chocolate cake was good. Icing, also not cream cheesy. Had nuts. Everything is well presented. Cheesecake presented in a nice custom box. Bright white store to sit down. But limited seating. No washroom.
