We visited Floors Castle a couple of times in April ‘25 , The gardens were so beautiful and lunch in the cafe was delicious There is also a lovely gift shop and deli, all the staff were really friendly and helpful It’s a really nice day out in beautiful grounds, looking forward to our return
I went for a concert and returned the next day for a look around. My sister and I went into the house and spent a few hours looking around. It really is a great castle with lots to interest you. Then we went into the shop - I usually don't bother because they are usually filled with tat that you can buy cheaply elsewhere. But this shop is different, from their own baked biscuits, to their own honey and very reasonably priced unusual gifts. Then we went for lunch and were even more impressed. Great place for all ages! The cafes offer fantastic food and the service is excellent. The Castle itself is SO awesome and beautiful to see. Better signage from Car Park for the Castle and the Terrace Cafe - as difficult if you have not visited before. But all in all great day out!
Really well organised event, access to plentiful car parking was easy and well marked. Registration had almost no queues. Information wrt the course and timetable wa clearly displayed and quick to read. The course is interesting woodland course with sbfsir percentage of long slow hill, done twice on the 2 lap 20k course. The duathlon DND the 20 k were well marked and didn't interfere with each other The whole course is on metalled track so it's fast. Times available immediately bon finishing.
Large castle within an extremely large estate which is extremely well presented with 2 cafes a deli and 2 gifts shops in magnificent gardens Friendly helpful and efficient staff. Definitely worthy a a visit for a whole day. Strongly recommended
