Lessons learned (long story, first airplane purchase): Had what I will call a failed "pre-buy", meaning my "pre-buy guy" gave me false information. Got the airplane home and found an A&P/IA to work with. They advised me that an existing elevator skin repair on my airplane, was incorrect/illegal. I verified this by reviewing the aircraft maintenance manual. My A&P/IA recommended Isaac at Flight Controls OH to fix it. Removing the elevator was easy. Flight Controls did amazing work on the Horizontal and Elevators for my Cessna 180H. Not only was it a quick turn around, but I was regularly updated with progress reports and the parts came back painted to match! I'll recommend this shop to anyone that needs control surface repair as well as continue to use them in the future.
