Tonight we were transported back to Paris, France where my husband and I have had some of our most romantic dinners. The Parisian chef & the sommelier offered “an experience” at Fleurie. We have traveled the world and can say this French Restaraunt in Virginia is one our favorites in the world! They welcome you with bread starters. While the food was excellent for our anniversary dinner, the customer service fell short. Our waitress handled a standard menu question very poorly, responding sharply that the chef was too busy to provide recommendations. Understaffed or stressed nights happen, but there is no excuse for making a guest feel like an inconvenience instead of handling the request with a positive attitude.
All was great except Lobster entree
First visit to Fleurie tonight — and wow. The food was incredible and the whole experience felt so special. Charlottesville VA has a gem here.
Went to the restaurant for a special anniversary meal - we had reservations - May 9, 2026. The service was absolutely horrible. Although the restaurant knew it was a special night out they sat us next to the Kitchen - within 4 feet - I had direct view of the kitchen staff preparing meals and every meal that left the kitchen passed by me within a foot or two of my face for 3 hours straight.
