First time coming back since over a decade ago and I still love this restaurant! Beautiful decor and view and excellent service. The food is still the same in a good way - the fried calamari was just as I remembered. Crispy and sweet and sour. The steak was very well made. Beautiful views and the hostesses were sweet and kind however it all goes downhill from there. The service was rushed and all over the place and the food was just alright it was also slow. . They also cannot accommodate anything that was asked for. I expected more from a steak from a steakhouse. Beautiful scenery but that's about it. I wouldn't take a date here. It's like a nicely wrapped bad tasting candy.
So i did a search for high end steakhouses in NJ to take my sisters out for a family dinner. I wanted to have a nice view of Manhattan and a wonderful meal. I stumbled upon Fleming's and to say I was happy is a vast understatement. As soon as I entered the restaurant I was greeted with a friendly staff and told them I was early for my reservation because I came from Long Island and didn't want to be late. We recently hosted my husband’s birthday celebration at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse in Edgewater, and everything was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Jasmine handled all the planning details with such care — even making sure to request a beautiful window view for us — and Darren provided outstanding service throughout the entire evening. We had such a great time dining at Fleming’s Steakhouse in Edgewater, NJ! I had a small concern at one point, and I have to say — the entire management team (Tom, Daniele, and Serena) went above and beyond to make things right.
