UNPROFESSIONAL!! Safe to say we will never be coming back. I am a college student helping out a family friend who has dementia. She has a 7 year old maltese who we've been bringing to this vet for several years but today will be the last day we step foot into a VCA animal hospital. I had a horrible experience With Dr. Benjamin Davidson and his assistant Marsha while here at urgent care with my 24 hour newborn kitten/mom and my other cat struggling with urinary issues. The bill was $546 and nothing was ever discussed about it before I got this amount as a "surprise". When I asked his assistant Marsha for the breakdown cost of all the vet bills, she got very snappy with me. Lied about the extent of injury they caused my cat during a botched procedure which led to a couple months of im sure terrible pain and eventual euthanasia. Brought to a different emergency vet and was told 100% flannery was at fault. His "slight" urethra tear actually ended up being torn up and down his entire urethra making surgery not even an option. He was only 3 years old and they will not take accountability for their lies and malpractice.
WARNING: Vet has a massive ego so tread lightly or your pet will suffer. Take five mins to read this long review and it will save you exponential stress and drama. Our four pets will sadly be leaving the VCA family after NINE YEARS due to the actions and behavior of one office location. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! GO ELSEWHERE. SAVE YOUR PET FROM HARM! VCA AURORA is disorganized, incompetent, has poor communication, poor judgment unprofessional, rude staff and a lack of consistency. Terrible clinic. Overpriced. Lack of concern for the animals. Incompetence from the staff and vet.
Horrible, horrible experience. Had a brand new vet Dr Maura totally screw up and wrongly diagnosed a leg fracture on my cat. She also totally missed her hip fracture and tail fracture. My cat was attacked by a large animal that Dr Maura stated was a "cat bite" even though you can fit 3 fingers into the wound which no cat could ever cause that kind of damage. She cleaned the wound out but never even bandaged the wound and then without regard put the dirty and soiled shirt back on the newly cleaned wound hence cross contamina... read more
Such personal care! We needed help making a hard decision, they squeezed us in b/c this cat was on the way out. They were very realistic about our options and wholly supported us, stood right by our side even after our lovey was gone. I trust their very knowledgeable and compassionate staff!
