We made a last-minute decision to eat here before our Cinegrill movie and we're so happy we did. Tristan was knowledgeable and personable and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

By far the best restaurant meal we’ve had during our few weeks in California. We’ve eaten at several Michelin-starred restaurants during our trip, but Flavours from Afar was the meal that genuinely stood out for us. We absolutely loved the concept and the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The food was exceptional, with beautifully balanced spices and so much flavour throughout. take this review with a grain of salt as we didnt get to eat our pick up order almost hours later, so that's probably changed the taste and texture of the dishes. we ordered the haitian short rib, somali chicken, navajo fry bread, somali lamb sambusa, three sisters soup, and cherokee dumplings. the flavors were nice, though the side veggies with the short rib was too sour we just had to set it aside because it was overpowering the meat and everything else. i did like the short rib itself and the rice and beans but we felt th... read more
