I am honestly obsessed with this restaurant. My friend and I go every time I visit her and I am sure that she eats there even more often. The place actually reminds me of something straight out of Austin, TX. It's a very local and community centric restaurant with delicious flatbread and salads. I love their organic salad and the Coevolution Flatbread is my favorite, closely followed by Jay's Heart
Bring a little Maui flavor home – Our first experience with Flatbread was in Paia, Maui on vacation. While in Maui I looked at their Web site and was thrilled to find locations around Boston, and that the one on Maui is the exception. You can take a taste of New England to Maui or Maui to New England, whatever your perspective. Their dining room is loud and frequently filled with parties and kids. The rustic wood fired pizza oven provided entertainment and heat. The service is good, the pizza is great. If you want a nice ver... read more
Fantastic pizza – They have some of if not the best pizza in portland. They always have great salads and specialty pies.
Great Upscale & Fresh Pizza – I have been to Flatbread several times with my husband and kids. I find the decor a tad strange, but really like the food. They have a really great salad dressing on their house salad and we have always found all their pizzas to be delicious (and the kids love watching the pizzas being cooked in the large oven). It's nice to know that all the ingredients are super fresh and organically good for you. They have some decent organic wines and we have had some pretty good deserts there as well. Great... read more
Amazing pizza – Great pizza and ambiance. Call in to get your name on the list wait time 1hr on weekend
A Bit pricy for pizza – Its alright. It is alot of money to pay for wheat bread though, but it is a nice place to eat. The pizza is so thin you almost need to order two of them.
Great pizza and great ingredients. Also has a nice beer/wine selection. I stop by whenever I'm in town. Highly recommended.
Casual waterfront eatery provides families and artsy types with all-natural, wood-fired pizzas and organic ingredients. – In Short Day and night, Flatbread's yawning space is filled with the welcoming aroma of its signature wood stove. Organic tomato sauce bubbles the day away in a wood-fired cauldron, and toppings include homemade maple-fennel sausage and oven-roasted red peppers. Young workers diligently chop wood in the corner while colorful locals down boutique brews at the bar. With lots of crayons and scenic water view... read more
Nothing else like it – Out of all the great places to eat in Portland's Old Port, this is one of the few places that we go to almost every week. It is very original in concept, atmosphere, and taste while still maintaining everything you would expect from a Portland restaurant (except chowda) -- casual dining, friendly service, and great draft beer selection. We take everyone who comes to visit us here to Flatbread at least once.
