Flanders Electric, Inc. was started in 1932 as Newcomb Electric. Edward H. Newcomb worked for Central Maine Power Company wiring homes. CMP stopped offering the service of wiring homes and that is when Edward started his own business out of his home on Alpine Street in Norway, Maine. In 1967 Charles J. Flanders, whom had worked for Edward for several years decided that he and his wife, Mary would purchase the business. Update 2025: Love these guys, period. Mom always had it right and her frequent use of Flanders Electric over the years always held true. She suggested I have them install a garage light and boy am I glad I did! The gentleman was great to have around AND did a bang-up job. Without banging anything. Flanders, ayuh. The only electrician you need to know!
I called Flander Electric to get a quote for a generator. Office girls was very friendly. Kevin came out within a week, very knowledgeable, professional and explained everything. There technicians that came out for the install, were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend Flander Electric.
Called Flanders looking for an occupancy light switch last minute although they did not have what I needed. Kathy and Josh did everything they could to help me find one locally as we were working far away from homebase. Josh called me back and found one at an Aubuchon close and save me a trip back. Great customer service would highly recommend.
Friendly, helpful and very competent. They have installed two generators for us. They make the process so easy. I highly recommend them.
