Flaherty Iron Works was started in 1976 by Francis X. Flaherty. Flaherty whose ancestors owned an iron works shop in Northwest Washington, D.C. during the Civil War grew up in Washington, D.C. and suburban Maryland. He had an interest in iron work since he was a teenager. He was a firefighter for the District of Columbia fire department for 23 years during which he worked part time in iron work. I had used other welding services before finding Flaherty Iron works and Flaherty’s attention to detail, weld quality, and customer service is above and beyond what I experienced elsewhere. I highly recommend using Flaherty for your projects; I will not go anywhere else.
Our patio table was severely damaged by flying debris from a neighbor's house during the most recent severe thunderstorm, and the table top was sheared off of the table's pedestal. In truth, I really didn't think it was fixable. None the less, I took it over - they said they could fix it, but the repair would probably be noticeable and obvious.
